Terms of Service

These terms apply to all transfer, tour and driver services provided by DG Autoservice Della Giovampaola, VAT no. 01040210526, with registered office at Via Dante 8/12 – 53042 – Chianciano Terme (Si), operating as Tuscany Transfer under NCC authorisation no. Aut. N. 5 Comune Chianciano Terme – Aut. N. 9 Comune Chiusi.

By confirming a booking you accept these terms.

1. Booking and confirmation

Bookings are made by email or through the contact form on this website. A booking is confirmed only once we have sent you a written confirmation and received the deposit described below. Requests are not binding on us until confirmed.

The confirmation states the date, pick-up time and place, destination, vehicle, number of passengers and total price.

2. Prices

Prices are quoted per service, not per passenger, and include VAT, fuel, insurance and the driver. Motorway tolls, city-centre access charges (ZTL), parking fees and entrance tickets are not included unless expressly stated in the confirmation.

Any change to the itinerary requested after confirmation may change the price. We will tell you the new price before proceeding.

3. Payment

  • Deposit: 30% of the total price, payable on confirmation.
  • Balance: due no later than 3 days before the service date.

If the balance is not received by that deadline we may treat the booking as cancelled by you, and clause 4 applies.

Bookings made fewer than 3 days before the service are payable in full at confirmation.

Payment is accepted by bank transfer or, where agreed in advance, in cash or by card at the end of the service.

4. Cancellation by you

Cancellations must be sent to us in writing. The date we receive your written notice determines which of the following applies:

Notice givenCharge
More than 30 days before the serviceNo charge — deposit refunded
Between 30 and 3 days beforeDeposit retained (30% of total)
Fewer than 3 days before100% of the total price
No-show100% of the total price

A no-show means the passenger does not appear at the agreed pick-up point, and we cannot reach them, within 60 minutes of the agreed pick-up time (or, for airport pick-ups, within 60 minutes of the meeting time set under clause 6).

Refunds are made to the original payment method within 14 days.

Right of withdrawal: contracts for passenger transport services are excluded from the 14-day right of withdrawal under Article 47(2) of the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005). The cancellation terms above apply instead.

5. Cancellation by us

If we cancel a confirmed booking for any reason attributable to us, we will refund everything you have paid in full and, where possible, arrange an equivalent alternative service at our expense.

If we cannot perform the service because of circumstances beyond our reasonable control — including severe weather, road closures, strikes, accidents or acts of public authority — we will refund all sums paid, less any part of the service already performed. Neither party owes the other any further compensation in such cases.

6. Airport and station pick-ups

We monitor arrival times and adjust to reasonable delays at no extra cost.

For airport pick-ups, the meeting point and time are set at 45 minutes after the actual landing time, to allow for passport control and baggage reclaim. The driver will be waiting at the point indicated in your confirmation.

If your flight or train is delayed by more than 3 hours, or is cancelled, contact us as soon as you can. We will do our best to accommodate the new time, but we cannot guarantee availability and a revised price may apply.

If you clear the airport earlier than expected, please wait at the meeting point: the driver will arrive at the scheduled time.

7. Waiting time

For all other pick-ups, 30 minutes of waiting time are included free of charge from the agreed pick-up time.

Beyond that, waiting is charged at € 70 per hour, calculated in 15-minute increments. The same rate applies to extra waiting time requested during a tour or multi-stop service.

8. Passengers and luggage

The number of passengers and items of luggage must be stated at the time of booking, so that we can assign a suitable vehicle. We may refuse to carry additional passengers or luggage that exceeds the vehicle’s capacity, and no refund is due in that case.

Children must travel in an appropriate child seat. Please tell us the age and weight of each child when booking so we can provide one at no extra cost.

Please do not leave valuables in the vehicle. We are not liable for items left behind, though we will always try to return them.

9. Conduct

For everyone’s safety, passengers must wear seat belts and follow the driver’s instructions. Smoking, alcohol and food are not permitted in the vehicle unless agreed beforehand.

The driver may end the service if a passenger’s behaviour puts safety at risk or damages the vehicle. In that case no refund is due, and any cleaning or repair costs will be charged.

10. Assistance and complaints

We can suggest restaurants, wineries and other venues, and we are glad to help you arrange visits. These are provided by independent third parties: your contract for them is with the provider, not with us, and we are not responsible for their service.

Any complaint should reach us at info@tuscanytransfer.it within 30 days of the service, so that we can look into it while the details are fresh.

11. Liability

We hold the insurance cover required by Italian law for hire-with-driver services. Our liability is limited to the direct damage caused by our failure to perform, up to the total price of the booking, except where Italian law provides otherwise — in particular, nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury.

We are not liable for missed flights, trains or connections caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, such as traffic, weather or road closures.

12. Personal data

We process your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy, available at https://www.tuscanytransfer.it/privacy-policy-2/.

13. Applicable law

These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, any dispute may be brought before the court of your place of residence or domicile in Italy, and nothing in these terms affects the mandatory rights granted to you by the Italian Consumer Code.
